The Candida IgG/IgA/IgM Bloodspot add-on measures IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies directed against Candida albicans using a dried blood spot sample. This test is designed as an add-on and must be ordered alongside the Nordic Food Panel 96 or 184 IgG Bloodspot, with analysis performed on a finger-prick sample collected by the patient.
Measurement of multiple antibody classes allows practitioners to view immune responses associated with different exposure patterns. IgM, IgA and IgG antibodies may be present in varying combinations, providing context around recent, mucosal or longer-standing immune responses to Candida albicans.
Practitioners typically consider these results alongside digestive symptoms, dietary intake, immune history and findings from the accompanying food antibody panel. Patterns are reviewed in the context of clinical history and other relevant laboratory results when discussing findings with clients.
